Profiling - personal and professional "To be a self is not to be a certain kind of person, but to be in possession of a certain kind of theory." (Rom Harre) It is the taken-for-granted nature of our beliefs about self that constrict our lives and many adults have never reviewed their basic self theories or evaluated the implicit assumptions they contain. However, once you have a profile of your current self theories you will be able to understand how your beliefs are influencing your feelings and the choices you consider possible. Your unique profile is created from a repertory grid that identifies your core beliefs and feelings about change over the life span. During the session I will highlight the beliefs and feelings which give you options and those that constrict your choices and generate anxiety and stress. You will also receive a written copy of your profile. There is an option to have a series of coaching sessions where we will employ the Possibilities Cycle to identify and change those beliefs which keep you from achieving a high degree of satisfaction and fulfilment in your life and work. During the coaching sessions you will learn how to use the Posibilities Cycle to change your beliefs during the sessions and independently in the future. Additionally, it can be beneficial to profile potential employees so that you can identify their current attitude to learning and change and to determine how well they would fit into your organisation. This has the benefit of potentially maximising their contribution to the company and also enables the employee to have greater job satisfaction and increased creativity. |
